SuPHP is an apache module that allows PHP to access under a different Linux user than the apache user. This improves the security of hosted websites as you can run the PHP scripts of each website under a different user.<\/p>\n

suPHP is a tool for executing PHP scripts with the permissions of their owners. It consists of an Apache module (mod_suphp) and a setuid root binary (suphp) that is called by the Apache module to change the uid of the process executing the PHP interpreter.<\/p>\n
